When you recive your contract letter you will be asked to send a copy of your General Teachers' Council Registration Certificate to CCMS. To register with the Council you must:
- have “eligibility to teach” in Northern Ireland as granted by the Department of Education Northern Ireland; and
- not be barred from teaching by the Department of Education, GTCNI, or any of their equivalents in England, Scotland and Wales.
If you have not yet been registered you will need to do so, if you wish to work as a teacher in a grant-aided school.
How do I register?
If you do not have the Certificate you can obtain one by contacting the General Teachers' Council Registration Team to request an application form. For any matters concerning registration, please contact the registration team using any of the following:

How much will it cost?
Those registered with the GTCNI will be required to pay an annual registration fee. The Council has set a fee of £44 for the registration period 1st April 2005 to 31st March 2006.
